L'ergonomie de 10 sites marchands pendant les soldes

I took this article cause i think that is an important point nowadays. It is the moment of the sells and now even websites are offering special rates.

In this article Veronique Renault, ergonome in Bencchmark group is talking to us about how the website offer there special rates. It is an important point for a wesite such as for a boutique to underline the special rate in order to sell the product.

Veronique Renault is talking about website such as Verbaudet, Cyrillus, Boulanger, Auchan... but i think that is exactly the same way for travel website.

Of course main of the travel website have already understand how to do that and how to have a good ergonomy. We could mentionned for example lastminutes.com and Expedia who are already aware about their ergonomy.

But thanks to this article we can understand that even if our company is an oline company we don't have to forget the main rules and codes of colours, positions, attratcting word and places. It is a real job to think about all these things and to cretae that. Even a website have to be well thinking !

  1. I totaly agree with this article. Effectively most hotels possess their own website but only a few are ergonomic. It's not enough to be present on the web, every hotelers have to attract new customers throught their website. Personaly, if a website is not colored, beautiful or ergonomic, it will not give me the idea that the hotels realize a good quality of service. It's the first representation of the hotels, we can imagine it wherever we are around the world. We must bear in mind that the webiste is also a marketing tool, like the packaging of a product. Do you buy something when the packanging is ugly? I don't think so.
Hotelers have to make a lot of effort for making their website more attractive if they want to increase their clientele.

  2. I kind of desagree with you guys. From my point of view, of course a website has to be "presentable" but there's a huge difference between that and being a beautiful site. I think that you already can find so many different website on internet that your priority shouldn't be the fact of becoming the trendiest website on the globe but to be more present (and the right manner) than your competition. Being an ergonomic and a noce website is a plus and essentially depends on how much money u've got.

  3. In 2010 the web marketing war will continue. The website design & ergonomic are vital like you said. However I think that another problem is rising! More & more website is "glamorous" but when the Internet user get the product it's just disappointing. Some companies think too much about the perfect virtual product and forgot to take care about the real one.

  4. I kind of agree with both opinions.
Indeed, i don't think that hoteliers should spend all their money on the ergonomy of their website even more if the product they are offering is disappointing comparing to this website because we all know that an unstatisfied guest could have terrible repercussions on the brand image of the hotel, even more with the development of community site or websites like tripadvisor which are based on the reviews from customers.

However, the website is the reflect online of the hotel atmosphere and philosophy, therefore, i think it is really important to keep a budget for the referencement and the ergonomy of the website in order to have a competitive advantage towards our competitors that are more and more fierce.
