Boutique Hotels in S'pore: From Famine to Feast
I thought this article very interresting such as it shows the new trends. Effectively few years ago big hotels such as Marriott, Hilton, ... all the same were at the top. Consumers found everything the same than on an other hotels that means the Hilton Kuala Lumpur was exactely (and is still ) the same than Hilton Washinghton. Consumers were looking for the same services. They would like to feel at home.
However , nowadays trends havec changed and people are looking for a good services, some different, they are looking for individualisation, personnalistion and experience. They would like to feel like a real guest not just like a room number a an huge hotel.
As we know Singapore is a great and very exciting country. This article shows us that even in this country full of workalcolic , people are looking for something different.
These few boutique hotels are the new trends and we could understand that small hotel are the hotel of tomorrow so what we could ask is how for a hotel chain is it possible to be more acesible and personnalized such as a boutique hotel.

I agree with this article, and I think that if hotel chain wants to adapt itself to the concept of boutique hotel, it should keep the quality of its services but make an effort to personnalize each hotels.
